Boeing Charleston is the home of the 787 Dreamliner, where the full cycle of 787 Dreamliner production happens . Boeing Charleston fabricates, assembles and delivers the 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 to customers all over the world. In addition to the Dreamliner assembly, Boeing Carleston is home to Boeing Research & Technology, IT Center of Excellence, Propulsion Systems, Interiors Responsibility Center, and Engineering Design Center.

The Boeing Aircraft Constructin & Familiarization Workshop will be a multiday event that will include walking tours, guest speakers, interaction opportunities with Boeing firefighters and live demonstrations. The tours will include, final assembly, Aft composite wrap and autoclave, flight-line and aircraft including the Dreamlifter.

Boeing Everett Operations Chief Gordan Elliot – 787 Lithium-ion battery fire tactics
Naval Research lab John Farley & Stanley Karwoski – Flourine-Free Foam (F3) Application Techniques and Firefighting Tactics.
Boeing Charleston Deputy Chief John James – Drone use for ARFF
Demonstration of composite cutting presented by Boeing firefighters.
