Pilot survives helicopter crash in Lincoln County near Oregon Coast

A commercial helicopter crashed near Logsden on
Jan. 17, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said. The crash happened in a cow pasture at about 8:37 a.m. on Jan. 15.
The pilot suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s officials said the crash did not harm structures, individuals or livestock.
The helicopter was a commercially operated Bell JetRanger model and the investigation into the cause of the crash has been turned over to the National Transportation Safety Board, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said.

Analysis: The student pilot was performing a landing after a solo flight. He attempted to land on runway 27 twice but there were trucks on the runway. He performed a go-around and switched to runway 18 which is a turf/grass runway. Immediately following touchdown, the airplane hit a bump on the runway and the airplane to become airborne again. The airplane porposied twice and the nose landing gear contacted the ground and collapsed which resulted in substantial damage to the fuselage.
The student pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
Probable Cause and Findings: The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident to be -- The student pilot’s failure to maintain airplane control while landing on a turf runway.

Narrative:
THY flight 158, a Boeing 727, crashed while on approach to Ankara-Esenboga Airport, Türkiye, killing 47 occupants; 20 survived the accident.
The aircraft crashed 150 m short runway 03 in driving snow, broke up and caught fire.
The accident was reportedly caused by windshear.
