"One of the landing gears brokeĀ ." Details of the incident involving a TezJet plane at Manas Airport.

AKIpress

"Summary" (AKIpress) - The company "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" reported details of the incident with the plane at Manas Airport.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of July 7. The Bishkek-Osh flight was operated by Tez Jet.

According to the airport, one of the rear landing gears collapsed during takeoff, causing the plane to tilt onto its left wing. Since the aircraft was still slow during takeoff, the pilots stopped the plane.

After stopping, the plane rolled onto its left wing, spilling jet fuel. Firefighters are on the scene.

There were 181 passengers on board the plane: 152 adults, 11 teenagers, and 18 children. There were also two pilots and four flight attendants.

All flights at Manas Airport have been cancelled. There were no serious injuries among passengers. Management from Kyrgyzstan Airports and Tez Jet are at the scene. "A commission will likely be established," Kyrgyzstan Airports reported.

Small plane makes crash landing at Ogden-Hinckley Airport

By Gephardt Daily Staff

OGDEN, Utah, July 7, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Investigators are en route after a small plane made a crash landing Tuesday at the Ogden-Hinckley Airport.

The crash happened just before 1 p.m.

ā€œThere were no injuries associated with it,ā€ Deputy Fire Chief Matthew Hess,Ā Ogden City Fire, told Gephardt Daily.

ā€œThere was aircraft damage, and that’s pretty much it. There was no fire or anything like that, just moderate damage to their airplane that made it inoperable.ā€

Hess said the National Transportation Safety Board has been alerted, and has investigators on the way to determine the cause of the crash.

LAPD helicopter makes emergency landing after being hit by drone at Encino brush fire, police say

The mayor had a no-holds-barred message for the drone operator, saying they will be arrested and prosecuted if they are found.

ENCINO, LOS ANGELES (KABC) --Ā As crews battled aĀ brush fire near the Encino ReservoirĀ on Tuesday afternoon, prompting evacuation warnings for residents, a drone reportedly hit a police helicopter, forcing an emergency landing.

The eight-acre brush fire came dangerously close to homes near the reservoir and Sepulveda Basin. It was first reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of North Encino Avenue, south of Ventura Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

LAFD Chief Jaime Moore said the cause of the fire is believed to be down power lines in the area.

"What they found was about a 50x50 spot fire that was believed to have been caused by some power line that came down. Our firefighters immediately did an aggressive attack. We have our crews, hand crews, here as well, and they were mopping up that fire when, just up the hillside, another spot fire broke out because of the energized power line that hit the ground there," Moore said. "They immediately left that 50x50 spot and went up to that other fire, which was associated with this fire only because it was the same power line."

An evacuation warning was briefly in place for residents surrounding the Encino Reservoir. Residents were being asked to prepare to evacuate before the warning was lifted about an hour and a half later.

Though the fire remained small and was knocked down fairly quickly by fire crews, their efforts were impacted by an incident involving a drone in the area.

Water-dropping choppers were brought in to help keep the fire from spreading. The Los Angeles Police Department said a drone smacked into one of its helicopters, which was dispatched to the scene of the fire. Police said the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing.

"We were just informed shortly, about five minutes ago, that our airship was hit by a drone and had to make an emergency landing over at Van Nuys Airport. Everybody is OK, as far as we know. They are just going to do checks for damage and the safety of the crew," said Capt. Brian Wendling with LAPD. "I know people are curious, but curiosity can cause danger."

The mayor had a no-holds-barred message for the drone operator.

"I will say that it is completely unacceptable and illegal to fly drones like this, and we had that incident in previous fires as well. If you remember, in the Palisades, it hit one of the helicopters, and so the message is -- this is unacceptable," Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said. "If we find out who you are, you will be arrested, and you will be prosecuted. So any lookie-loos out there, this is very dangerous to everyone."

No injuries were reported in the fire. In total, 153 firefighters worked to extinguish the flames.

NTSB Final Report: Aerosport Ltd Ikarus C42e

At The Apex Of The Climbing Left Turn, The Airspeed Decreased And He Lowered The Nose To Regain Airspeed

Location: Wendover, Utah Accident Number: WPR26LA104
Date & Time: February 15, 2026, 18:15 Local Registration: N420MS
Aircraft: Aerosport Ltd Ikarus C42e Aircraft Damage: Substantial
Defining Event: Low altitude operation/event Injuries: 2 None
Flight Conducted Under: Part 91: General aviation - Personal

Analysis: The pilot reported that during a personal flight at dusk, he descended to get a closer look at the sunset reflecting off the water on the salt flats. Afterwards, he performed a chandelle maneuver to reverse course and depart the area. He initiated the maneuver by adding full power, banked left and established a climb. At the apex of the climbing left turn, the airspeed decreased and he lowered the nose to regain airspeed. The pilot stated that they were very quickly in a nose down dive, and due to the low altitude, he had little time to troubleshoot and recover. Subsequently, the airplane landed in a flat attitude, which resulted in substantial damage to the aluminum main cross beam landing gear attachment point structure. The pilot added that at some point during the maneuver, power was accidentally reduced and he didn’t notice.

The pilot reported that there were no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.

Probable Cause and Findings:Ā The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident to be -- The pilot’s mismanagement of engine power during a maximum performance, 180° climbing left turn at a low altitude that resulted in impact with terrain.

Sudan Airways flight 139, a Boeing 737-200, crashed while on approach to Khartoum-Civil Airport, Sudan, killing 116 occupants; 1 survived the accident.

About 15 minutes after takeoff from Port Sudan, the pilot reported the loss of power in one engine. The flight returned to Port Sudan and was cleared for the ILS runway 35 approach. The reported visibility was 2.5 miles in sand. The flightcrew did not sight the runway, and during the missed approach the airplane descended and collided with wasteland about 3 miles east of the airport. The aircraft disintegrated during the impact sequence. The wreckage was strewn a distance of about 600 feet, and oriented on a 150 degree magnetic track.

A two-year old boy, Mohammed el-Fateh Osman, survived the accident. He was flown to the United Kingdom for medical treatment.
