Private Plane Makes Emergency Landing at EVV

A small plane has made an emergency landing at Evansville Regional Airport. WNIN’s John Gibson has details: 
A private aircraft was dealing with a landing gear issue Monday morning.
Airport fire crews and Evansville crews were dispatched to the airfield to stand by as the craft made a belly landing.
There was no word of any fire or injuries.
A statement from the airport said EVV’s safety and operations teams responded swiftly, and “we commend them for their coordinated response."
EVV says airport operations were NOT impacted and the aircraft was removed from the airfield.

Montreal: Airport employee seriously injured during the pushback of a French Bee plane

A Montreal-Trudeau airport employee was seriously injured Monday evening in an accident involving a French Bee Airbus A350 and a pushback vehicle. The flight to Paris-Orly was cancelled.
A serious accident occurred on Monday, August 24, at
approximately 7:30 p.m., on the tarmac of Montreal-Trudeau International Airport in Canada. An airport employee was seriously injured during pre-departure procedures for a French Bee flight to Paris-Orly.
According to the airline, the accident involved the aircraft and a vehicle used for pushback. The victim, believed to be a ground crew member, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Passengers quoted by several Canadian media outlets claim that the employee tripped before being struck by the moving aircraft and then passing underneath it. These circumstances, however, remain to be confirmed.
French Bee states that the precise causes of the accident are not yet known. The company assures that it is cooperating with Canadian authorities and all stakeholders involved in investigating the incident.
The passengers and crew members on board are unharmed. They have been taken care of by the airline and airport teams.
The Airbus A350 was originally scheduled to depart at 6:00 PM local time for Paris-Orly. The flight was ultimately cancelled. Its departure, initially planned for Saturday evening, had already been postponed due to a technical issue.
The accident also disrupted air traffic at Montreal-Trudeau, resulting in several cancellations and significant delays.

Update: NTSB Says Alaska Plane Was On Its Second Approach When It Went Down
Foggy Conditions Were Reported At Cape Newenham In Western Alaska At The Time
A charter plane was on its second attempt at landing when it went down at a military radar site in a remote area of Southwest Alaska on Thursday, Aug, 20, killing all eight people on board.
National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Alaska Region Chief Clint Johnson confirmed the Cessna 441 Conquest was owned and operated by Anchorage-based Security Aviation. 
Johnson also confirmed that two pilots and six passengers were on board at the time of the accident. The Cessna 441 is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft pressurized for high-altitude flight and can carry up to nine passengers, according to Security Aviation’s website.
“The pilots in this case were navigating solely by instruments. Weather conditions would not allow them to actually visually see the ground. What we understand is, after the second missed approach, Anchorage Center lost contact with the airplane,” Johnson said.
The plane was chartered by the United States Army Corps of Engineers to fly from Anchorage to the Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site. Two employees with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were among those on board, according to a statement from the Corps. Four other passengers were contractors, Johnson said.
The Cape Newenham radar site is part of a network of remote radar sites that track aircraft operating in Alaska's airspace and along its borders. Johnson said that the NTSB will be reviewing the site’s radar data.
The military said that the names of the passengers and crew have not been released.
Johnson said that the NTSB will work on recovering the wreckage and will be sending a team to the area as part of its investigation. The Federal Aviation Administration and Security Aviation will be a part of the investigation team as well, he said.

Narrative:
PIA flight 404, a Fokker F-27 Friendship, went missing during a flight over the Himalaya Mountains, Pakistan, with 54 on board.
Flight PK404, a Fokker F-27 Friendship, departed Gilgit (GIL) at 07:36 on a domestic passenger service to Islamabad (ISB), Pakistan. There were 49 passengers and five crew members on board.
At 07:40 the crew radioed that they expected over point Bravo at 07:59 and at Islamabad at 08:32. This was the last transmission received from the crew.
The flight was declared missing. It is presumed that the aircraft crashed, killing all aboard.
